LancomWS/Leased Line Option
For use with fixed ISDN lines
Especially in professional environments with its huge data volume, it's often cheaper to rent a dedicated leased line from your telecommunications provider, rather than to pay for each dial-up connection separately. Therefore, all LANCOMs with an ISDN interface can be upgraded for operation with leased lines.
The leased line option enables leased line connections at either 64 kbps or 128 kbps connections (in Germany: 'D64S' and 'D64S2'). All LANCOM routers with ISDN interface feature ISDN channel bundling (ML-PPP), as well as data compression (Stac/HiFn) for enhanced throughput, and either bridging or multiprotocol routing (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and NetBIOS/IP) for coupling of IP, Novell and Windows networks.
