With matured Quality-of-Service mechanisms, upstream and downstream bandwidth management, automatic packet-size control, and extensive functions for high availability and security, routers from LANCOM can handle conventional data communications at the same time as professional VoIP telephony-even today.
Selected LANCOM models featuring the "VoIP-ready" logo offer even more: With the option of integrating an SIP proxy and gateway, these models can be upgraded to fully functional integrated solutions for VoIP communications. The featured ISDN interface can be used for both data communications and voice connections such as local call breakout, fax or emergency calls. VoIP terminal equipment can be used to establish fully functional, professional communication solutions. The integrated intelligent call routing automatically directs calls to:
- Company VoIP servers (generally linked via VPN)
- Public SIP providers (via DSL/Internet)
- The integrated ISDN interface (incl. conversion between SIP and ISDN)
- Other locally connected VoIP terminal equipment
