The LANCOM C-54g Wireless LAN client is the perfect supplement to wireless LAN base stations from LANCOM. The LANCOM C-54g client can be operated as a terminal for a wireless bridge, which can be used, for example, to supply a building with Internet access over a wireless LAN link. It functions as a transparent WLAN-to-Ethernet translator for indoor and outdoor wireless bridges. The LANCOM C-54g is a fully functional router and firewall at the same time. Rollout and operation are handled by suitable largescale management systems.

The LANCOM C-54g is equipped with the full range of security features necessary for the public provision of broadband connections over WLAN. The WLAN can be secured by 802.11i or WPA2. This device functions as a LEPS client and as a firewall with masking and intrusion detection for devices in the LAN. Using the LANCOM C-54g as a wireless LAN Internet bridge offers a level of security that is equivalent to that of a cable or DSL connection. And with the aid of WLAN QoS, it is also possible to transmit VoIP voice data securely and in parallel.
High performance and reliable.
The LANCOM C-54g offers WLAN bandwidths of up to 108 Mbps in the 2.4-GHz band (with 802.11g). Bursting and compression technologies lead to significant increases in the effective data rate. The integrated concept for the security of operations along with the software “Made in Germany” guarantee trouble-free continuous operation around the clock. LANCOM Systems offers a comprehensive range of professional indoor and outdoor antennas for bridging distances of up to several kilometers to the next base station.
