LancomWS/IAP-54 Internal Access Point
Robust
LANCOM Systems developed a robust and stable access point for the use in warehouses, production halls and other sophisticated and challenging locations. The LANCOM IAP-54 is protected by a metal housing, which is IP50 dust proof. Three mounting possibilities such as mast-, wall- and rail mount accessories are included. This makes the access point applicable also in difficult situations.
Professional
LANCOM IAP-54 Wireless is equipped with all professional features needed to establish a stable and secure wireless LAN infrastructure. Wireless LAN 802.11b/g and 802.11a are integrated. Depending on the surrounding, either 2,4GHz or 5GHz radio band can be used. In both frequencies full speed transfer rates up to 108mbps are possible. By DFS and TPC in 802.11a (5GHz) 30dBm output power are allowed which increases the operating range considerably. Power feeding by Power over Ethernet is by default integrated. The access point can be mounted up to 100m away from power points, supported by the included 1 port PoE Power Injector. Of course the IEEE 802.3af standard is fully supported. To extend a RS-232 connection by wireless LAN, the internal serial connector can be used.
Secure
LANCOM Wireless LAN access points support the security standard IEEE 802.11i. Also Point-to-Point connection can be protected without any loss of performance against any kind of attack. Many more security protocols are included: 802.1x, WPA, WEP, ACL, LEPS. Other flexible and professional features are available to meet in a cost-effective and quick way challenging and complicated requirements: e.g.: VLAN, MultiSSID, RADIUS etc. . Multiple configuration of several access points simultaneously and their management and supervision are perfectly solved by LANCOM LANtools. LANCOM Systems additionally offers a vast variety of AirLancer wireless client adapters and Extender antennas.
