Mesh4G™ Mobile Broadband Network Products
Mesh4G™ offers a complete line of hardware components and software applications for the rapid deployment of high performance and scalable mobile broadband networks. These products have been deployed in a wide range of applications, including public safety, transportation and municipal mobile broadband networks.
These products combine the scalable, high performance and patented mobile ad hoc networking found in our Mesh4G™ Enabled Architecture technology with our high-performance QCMR radio. This results in a cost-effective, survivable, self-forming and self-healing wireless network solution for mission critical communications.
Our Mesh4G™ Mobile Broadband solution is made up of several hardware and software elements:
M4.4000 - Mesh Access Point (IAP)
M4.4040 - Enhanced Mesh Node (PWR)
M4.4050 - External Mesh Node (EWR)
M4.4000 - Mesh Access Point (IAP)
In a Mesh4G™ Enabled Architecture mobile broadband network, the Access Point is a small device that acts as the transition point from the wireless network to the wired world. Each M4.4000 offers a maximum burst rate of up to 6 Mbps that can be used for voice, video and data communications.
If greater network capacity is required, additional Access Points can be easily deployed - without the need for extensive RF or site planning. The location of Access Points is non-critical due to the self-forming, self-healing and self-balancing nature of the Mesh4G™ network.
Access Points Also Provide:
Local network management of Wireless Routers and Client Devices
Fixed reference point for position location services
Mobility management
M4.4010 - Mesh Repeater (MWR)

The Mesh Repeater is a small, low-cost, wireless device that is primarily deployed to guarantee wireless coverage in large geographic areas, campuses or in-building applications. It enables non-line-of-sight communications between Clients and Access Points (M4.4000), in a Mesh4G™ Enabled Architecture mobile broadband network.
Wireless Repeaters are typically used to seed new network deployments to ensure sufficient coverage while the client population is growing.
Wireless Repeaters Also Provide:
Range extension between the client and IAPs
Fixed reference points for position location services
Provide coverage in hotspot/in-building applications
M4.4020 - Mesh Node (VMM)
Compact and ruggedly designed, the Mesh Node turns a fixed location or a vehicle into a node on the Mesh4G™ network. Mobile Data Terminals, IP video cameras, and other IP ready devices can access a high-speed, mobile broadband network via a standard RJ45 Ethernet Port. This low cost, high performance, wireless modem supports up to 6 Mbps burst data rates at speeds of over 100 mph.
The Mesh Node provides high bandwidth access to mission-critical information on the move. Remote database inquiries, on-scene report submission, multi-megabyte file transfers and live video streams will make field personnel more efficient. The Mesh Node also supports real-time position location without relying on GPS.
Like all Mesh4G™ products, the Mesh Node acts as a wireless router/repeater automatically extending the range, robustness and performance of the wireless network.
M4.4030 - Mesh Node (PCMCIA)
Mesh4G™ offers a complete Wireless Modem Card in a PCMCIA form factor. By simply inserting the PCMCIA card, up to 6 Mbps burst data rates for streaming audio and video, fast and accurate position location, and voice services can be added to any device with a PCMCIA card slot.
Mesh4G™ PCMCIA Cards can also act as Wireless Routers in a Mesh4G™ Enabled Architecture mobile broadband network. This increases network robustness and coverage at no additional cost.
Finally, clients with PCMCIA Cards can instantly form Multi-Hopping ad-hoc, peer-to-peer, broadband networks - without using any network infrastructure.
M4.4040 -Enhanced Mesh Node (PWR)
The Infrastructure Mesh Node (M4.4040) is deployed to provide wireless network access to one or more IP devices via a standard, RJ45 Ethernet port, while providing wireless access over large geographic areas.
The M4.4040 efficiently combines the functionality of a Mesh4G™ Wireless Repeater and subscriber modem in a single, cost effective, wireless network component. This makes it easy for any Ethernet ready device to access a Mesh4G™ Enabled Architecture mobile broadband network.
Computers, IP video cameras, sensors, signs, signals, etc. can all be Mesh4G™-enabled to send and receive data at burst rates of up to 6 Mbps. All of the standard Wireless Repeater functionality, including Multi-Hopping, non-line-of-sight communications and position location services, is fully supported
Enhanced Mesh Nodes Also Provide:
Range extension between clients and IAPs
Fixed reference points for position location services
Up to 3 assignable IP addresses
M4.4050 -External Mesh Node (EWR)
The External Mesh Node (M4.4050) is deployed to guarantee wireless coverage in large geographic areas while providing wireless network access to one or more IP devices via its built-in RJ45 Ethernet port. The M4.4050 efficiently combines the functionality of a Mesh4G™ Wireless Repeater and client modem in a single, cost-effective, wireless network component.
This makes it easy for any Ethernet ready device to access a Mesh4G™-Enabled Architecture mobile broadband network. Computers, IP video cameras (as pictured), sensors, signs, signals, etc. can all be Mesh4G™-Enabled to send and receive data at burst rates of up to 6 Mbps. All of the standard Wireless Repeater functionality, including Multi-Hopping, non-line-of-sight communications and position location services, is fully supported.
External Mesh Nodes Also Provide:
Range extension between clients and IAPs
Fixed reference points for position location services
Up to 3 assignable IP addresses
M4.4100 - External Mesh Node (VMA)
The Mesh4G™ External Mesh Node (M4.4100) is deployed to guarantee wireless coverage in large geographic areas whilst providing wireless network access to one or more IP devices via its built-in RJ45 Ethernet port.
The M4.4100 efficiently combines the functionality of a Mesh4G™ wireless router and client modem in a single, cost effective, wireless network component. This makes it easy for any Ethernet ready device to access a Mesh4G™- Enabled Network. Computers, IP video cameras, sensors, signs, signals, etc. can all be Mesh4G™-Enabled to send and receive data at burst rates of up to 6 Mbps.
